I grew up in a small business family. My dad ran one in Hutchinson, Kansas for 33 years, and I've been an entrepreneur myself for as long as I can remember. I've always had e-commerce ventures and other projects running on the side, because I've never been able to sit on a good idea. If I have an idea, I have to build it! So I understand the work that goes into building something from nothing, and I know exactly when systems start holding you back instead of pushing you forward.
I could have remained working in enterprise, but I thrive on unique challenges, and no two small businesses are the same. The problem-solving is endlessly interesting, and working directly with owners makes it personal.
